Field Operation
FURROW SET UP
Set the machine to preferred digging depth with the furrowers raised well above the ground. Steps to raise or lower the furrower discs are mentioned below. The sprocket gear that is held in place by bolt 2 will help in adjusting the furrower depth in equal 1/2 inch increments. Once the front two rows of discs are set to the desired digging depth, slowly lower the furrowers to the desired depth. Suggested steps for vertical adjustment of the furrowers: 1. Remove Nyloc nuts and washer 1 & 3. DO NOT ADJUST NYLOC NUT 2 AS IT IS FACTORY-SET TO THE IDEAL TORQUE. 2. Place a spanner on bolt head 2 and hold firmly. 3. Apply pressure on the spanner and carefully slide out bolts 1 & 3. 4. Rotate spanner based on desired direction of furrower movement. 5. Insert bolts 1 & 3 to re-position the spanner whenever required. 6. Set the furrower assembly to the required depth and re-insert the bolts 1 & 3 and fasten the nuts. Both the furrower discs can further be adjusted to the required tilt. With the bottom bolts slightly loosened, the top bolts can be removed and inserted to the holes to obtain 10° tilt adjustments on either side. Check if the discs are at the desired depth and angle and begin operation.
