Because of the professional nature of Rosemeod's progroms, students are required to maintain the standards of the psychological profession as defined by the American Psychological Association, the State of California and the professional psychologists who comprise Rosemeod's faculty. As a part of Biol □ University, which serves a brood spectrum of evangelical churches, Rosemead also hos both a doctrinal statement and a statement of conduct (See page 1-2). Prospective applicants should be familiar with the standards. Students who do not abide by these standards or other institutional policies and procedures may be subject to probation or dismissal from the program. ADMISSIONS INFORMATION Rosemead seeks to admit applicants whose background clearly demonstrates scholarly aptitude, a commitment to the historic Christion faith , personal character and integrity and a positive service-oriented motivation toward the field of clinical psychology. As on evangelical Christion institution, Biol □ University requires that on applicant hos been a Christion for at least one year prior to admission. Biol □ does not discriminate on the basis of the applicant's race, color, sex, handicap or notional or ethnic origin. Persons interested in attending Rosemead should request application forms from the director of admission of Biol □ University. APPLICATION DEADLINE Since enrollment is limited and admission is on a selective basis, applications should be mode as early as possible. The APPLICATION DEADLINE IS JANUARY 15. Decisions are mode only on completed applications. Rosemead currently admits new students for the degree programs only in the foll semester each year. Applications submitted after the January 15 deadline will rarely be considered for the following foll semester. ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS As in most graduate programs in psychology, competition is keen and enrollment is limited. In order to be admitted to full graduate standing the applicant must comply with the following: (l ) Possess a baccalaureate degree from on accredited college or university with on overage grade of at least "B" for the junior and senior years, i.e. , 30on a 4.0 scale. (2) Present on undergraduate program with either o major in psychology or its functional equivalent (30 semester hours of credit in psychology). This should include at least one course in General (Introductory) Psychology; Statistical Methods; Experimental Psychology; Abnormal Psychology; Theories of Person­ ality; and learning. Also strongly recommended are courses in Measurement Theory, History of Psychology, Physiological Psychology or a year of Bioiogy/Zoology If possible, undergraduate courses in Old and New Testament Survey and Hermeneutics will strengthen the student's preparation for Rosemead. (3) Submit scores on the Graduate Record Examination Aptitude Test and Psychol­ ogy Advanced Test. Information regarding testing dotes and location may be obtained by writing to the Educational Testing Service, Box 955, Princeton, New Jersey 08540 No applicant is exempt from submitting GRE scores which must be received prior to the deadline dote of January 15. (4) Submit completed profile (not answer sheet) of the Minnesota Multiphosic Personality Inventory (MMPI). This test should be token at a college testing
