THE FAMILY EDUCATION RIGHTS AND PRIVACY ACT The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974permits enrolled university students access to certain credentials in their files. Biol □ University has long permitted access for the student to his previous educational records such as high school transcripts and college transcripts (if atransfer), his SAT or ACT scores and his educational record at Biol □ University. Because of the importance of preserving the confidentiality of letters of recommendation the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act permits an educational institution to suggest on applicant may waive his right to access to letters of recommendation. Signing such awaiver is not required as acondition for admission, receipt of financial aid form or receipt of any other services or benefits from Biol □ University. In order that Biolo University may hove valid recommendations it is suggested that the applicant consider waiving his right to see such letters of recommendation. Please be assured that letters of recommendation (along with transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, and your own application) are used solely to determine on applicant's qualification for admission. Biol □ University will furnish (upon the applicant's request) the names of all individuals supplying references. However, the applicant usually knows the identity of those to whom he gives the reference forms. Signing the waiver statement on the reference form is all that is necessary on your part.

1. File application. Specify when you plan to enroll (fall, interterm, spring, summer). Every advantage goes to the early applicant. Late applicants may find admissions closed. Address mail to office of admissions and records. 2. Remit the S35 application fee (nonrefundable). Do not send cash. 3. Applications far spring semester filed after January first or for fall semester filed after August first must remit a S45 application fee rather than S35. 4. Request transcripts from high school and schools attended ofter high school graduation. If enrolled at the time application is filed, be sure to request transcripts of work you have finished and final transcripts upon completion of course of study whether it is high school or college. 5. Arrange to toke the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or ACT (SAT is preferred). SAT or ACT is required of all applicants except those who will have sophomore classification upon entrance (requires 27 semester units of accepted course work). The education deportment and nursing will require SAT scores regardless of classification. 6. Request recommendations (forms supplied). One reference must come from a member of the pastoral staff of your church. The other may come from school or employer. Forms must be addressed to the director of admissions. AFTER YOU'VE FILED... 1. You will be notified of items needed to complete file. Failure to comply only postpones a decision and admissions could close in the meantime. 2. Acceptance Notice certificate will be sent upon completion of file if you qualify for admission. 3. Remit required $50 enrollment deposit along with Validation of Acceptance certificate and the residence information card. Send these three together to the director of admissions. 4. If you plan to live on campus, please remit adeposit of $50 (in addition to enrollment deposit), to the director of admissions. 5. The medical examination form included with the acceptance notice must be completed and returned by a physician of the student's choice. Address to the health center. If your plans change and you do not plan to complete your application or to enroll if accepted, please notify the office of admissions and records.
