Project selected in confer­ ence with faculty sponsor before registration; progress meetings held regularly . · 480 SOCIOLOGY SEMINAR (3) Brief consideration of selected works of pioneer sociologists ; emphasis on current trends and developments in sociology ; inde­ pendent student work stressed . Limited to seniors majoring in sociology .

443 METHODS OF SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH I (3) Survey and evaluation of methods of planning , collecting, clas­ sifying and analyzing social research data: Detailed study of the scientific method of inquiry: Introduction to the use of ex­ perimental designs in sociological research. Prerequisites: Psy­ cology 210; 18 units of Sociology. 444 METHODS OF SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH II (3) A continuation of the Methods of Sociological Research I course where the student will be involved in planning and conducting a minor research project. Prerequisites: Psychology 210, 18 units of Sociology and Sociology 443. 451 SOCIAL STRUCTURE AND CHURCH GROWTH I (3) Social structure and its relationship to the principles and practices of church expansion. 452 SOCIAL STRUCTURE AND CHURCH GROWTH II (3) Principles and practices of church expansion applied to an indi­ vidual case study. Prerequisite: 451.
