I was handling so many questions in apologetics I felt I needed a stronger biblical base. Satisfactorily complete 62 semester units as outlined in the appropriate curriculum.

B. Submit an acceptable thesis chosen in consultation with the major advisor. Two unbound copies are to be submit ted to the librarian. All theses, whether acceptable or not, become the property of Talbot Seminary. C. At least 24 units must be taken at this seminary. D. Obtain a 3 .0 average with no grade below a "C-" in all courses to be credited toward graduation . E. Complete the entire program in no more than five years. Students are placed on academic probation if their grade point average for any semester falls below 3 .0 and will remain on probation as long as the single semester or cumulative grade point average remains below 3.0. The probation students are granted one semester in which to bring their academic work up to the required level (3. 0) for continuance in the seminary. A student cannot graduate while on probation.
PHILOSOPHY OF BIBLICAL AND THEOLOGICAL STUDIES PROGRAMS The Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and the Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies are intensive and highly spe cial ized programs designed for those whose calling to Christian service is not in the area of professional ministry. It is anticipated that candidates for these programs will have purposes that coin cide with the following: 1. The training of college graduates who desire a more thor ough grasp of the Bible in order to engage in Christian ministries at levels other than those that are usually per formed by the ordained clergy. This would include medical doctors on the mission field , missionary pilots , church administrators , counselors , lay leaders in the local church and others. 2. The furnishing of a biblical background for those who are preparing for teaching in non-theological fields. 3. The furnishing of an academic background for those who find the Master of Arts degree ample for a teaching position either at home or in a foreign country. 4. Providing a shorter program of study for missionaries who have on ly their furlough time in which to further their formal training in the Scriptures. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Applicants , to be accepted , must possess a baccalaureate degree. Each should be a graduate from a recognized and/or regionally accredited college with a minimum grade point average of3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). The Master of Arts with emphasis in Bible exposi tion is designed primarily for those who desire to take graduate biblical studies later in life. Therefore , those who apply for the program with this particular emphasis should be age 35 or older. All applicants must submit a written statement outlining their vocational objectives and how the degree might relate to those objectives.
MAJOR REQUIREMENTS THE PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The academic programs leading to the degrees Master of Arts in Biblical Studies and Master of Arts in Theological Studies are comprised of 62 units structured in common to include 1) biblical and theological foundations in the first year, 2) academic spe cialization in one of four theological disciplines in the second year and 3) additional elective courses determined by the advisor in consultation with the student. THE PROGRAM REDUCTION BASED ON PRIOR ACADEMIC STUDY Applicants who have taken undergraduate courses in biblical or theological studies may request a program reduction based on their collegiate work. An evaluation will be made by the director , records following established guidelines in order to determine competency within the following perimeters: 1) undergraduate biblical studies which are parallel in content with required courses and 2) undergraduate biblical studies which may justify a reduction in elective units. On this basis the 62 unit program may be reduced by as much as 30 units, so that certain qualified applicants may earn the Master of Arts with a minimum 32 unit program.
