Evaluations for reduction are considered for undergraduate courses with satisfactory parallel content , pro­ vided that the collegiate courses are approximately double the unit value of the corresponding seminary courses. To qualify for such reductions the student must have earned at least a ' 'B' ' grade in the specific course(s) and be able to demonstrate competency in the subject matter. TEACHING CREDENTIAL SPECIALIZATION Students can combine work on their Master of Arts in Christian Education while obtaining a California state credential. To make this program feasible , some unts in Christian Education core are substituted for credential requirements . Students interested in this option should see an advisor in the Christian education depart­ ment or Biola education department. B. PRACTICAL SKILLS IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION- 22 units CE 511 , 512,522 , 617, 631-632, 691-692. II. Vocational Specialization-4 to 6 Units With counsel from the department , the student designs the bal­ ance of the program in light of personal strengths , previous experience and vocational goals . The major areas of specializa­ tion are presented below along with the major vocational posi­ tions to which they relate. In addition to the prescribed courses from the specialization , the electives are then chosen to complement strengths or to overcome weaknesses in light of the particular vocational goal. Therefore , the structure of a student's program is genuinely tailor-made and may be noticeably different from another ' s program having the same specialization or vocational goal. Parachurch Ministries - program designs matching various positions within Christian agencies such as Christian schools , publishing houses , youth agencies , group homes and others. Specializations of the department are: Administration Counseling and Family Ministries Educational Psychology and Age-Level Specializations Principles of Education and Methodology Single Adult Ministries Teaching Credential III. Electives Additional courses , including thesi s (four units) or electives in lieu of thesis to total 66-68 units respectively.
