Investigation into the major issues of educational psychology including growth and development, learning theory, motivation, individual differences , self-concept , human nature, determinism, social interaction, maladjustment, discipline, moral influence and retention. Discussion of the major theories and theorists of psychology. Integration of theology and psychology an emph­ asis. CE 623 TESTS AND MEASUREMENTS IN EDUCATION (2) Theory of testing and the functions of measurements in religious education. Supervised practice in the use and interpretation of specific tests and measurement devices relevant to the education­ al program of the church. Electi ve. CE 625-626 MINISTRY THROUGH SPECIAL EDUCATION (2, 2) Educational procedures useful in Christian instruction of the deaf and blind (625). An intensive study and survey of the mentally retarded and the emotionally disturbed as well as the gifted, with emphasis upon educational techniques and methodology (626). CE 532 PHILOSOPHICAL ISSUES IN MINISTRY (2) Investigation of current practices of ministry through an analytic­ al perspective . Designed to help the minister evaluate ministries and respond with remedial or enrichment strategies. Prerequisite: CE 531 or equivalent. Prescribed for M .A. (C.E.) and M.A. (M.F.M.) students. CE 540 APPLIED MUSIC (Same as PT 540) (1-2) Includes private study as well as ensemb le. May be repeated to a maximum of six units. Elective. CE 631-632 METHODS AND RESOURCES OF MINISTRY (4, 4) Analysis of ministries of edification as they relate to the personal, the interpersonal, the congregational and the administrative aspects of ministry with people of all ages (631). Analysis of worship and witness ministries in and emanating from the church (632). In both courses focus is on the exploration of various methods and resources available for ministry and on the develop­ ment of individual skills in communicating and leading in these ministries.
