ber in the audience who surrendered their lives for the foreign field. The party sailed from San Francisco on Oct. 12th. They were, Mr. and Mrs. Saund ers, Miss L. A. Robinson, Miss Lydia Pfleuger, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schlich- ter, Miss F. Brown, Miss M. SchorsCh, Miss H. Small, Ford Canfield, "Miss C. Lovejoy, Miss C. L. Kay, Allyn Cooke, Ralph Scoville. The assembling of this splendid party was entirely due to a providential visit of Mr. and Mrs. Saunders to the Insti tute while on their furlough. A friend of the China Inland Mission in Phil adelphia having learned of the accept ance of the Institute students by the council asked the cost of sending the total number to China and claimed the privilege of financing the whole party. Money was also received for the pur pose of a motor launch to be used for evangelistic work by Mr. and Mrs. Saunders. J. The Correspondence School courses furnish an excellent preparation for those intending to enroll later in the Institute. The Bible Institute auditorium will soon be made complete by the installa tion of a beautiful pipe organ, the gift of the Church of the Open Door. The organ is being taken from Christ’s Episcopal church in Los Angeles which is being dismantled, and is said to be one of the finest instruments in the city. This has been the one thing lack ing in all the great equipment of the Bible Institute. A great farewell meeting for the out going student-missionaries and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Saunders was held in the Institute auditorium on the afternoon of Sept. 29. It was one of the most impressive missionary gatherings ever held in the Institute, and as a result of the addresses by Mr. and Mrs. Saunders and the short talks by each one of the out-going party there were a large num
