Pretty soon the keeper of the prison saw that God was with Joseph and he gave him charge over all the prisoners. One morning Joseph found two men looking very sad, because they had both had dreams which troubled them. In those days there was no Bible yet, and God some­ times spoke to people in dreams, but he does not do so now, for we have the Bible to tell us what God says. Now last week we left Joseph on his way down to Egypt as a slave, and we know how he would he thinking of home ■and how His dear father would grieve for him. When these men with the camels reached Egypt, they sold Joseph to a rich man who was an officer in the king’s army. This rich man had a great many serv­ ants to take care of his fine home, hut he needed one more, so he bought Joseph. Of course Joseph felt lonely

In a few days the dream came out just as Joseph told them, and when the man left the prison to go back to the king, Joseph asked him to tell .the king how he was in prison and' had done nothing wrong, but the man forgot all about Joseph, and he had. to stay there until’ one night the king himself had a dream which none of his wise men could tell the meaning of. Then the man who had been in prison remem­ bered Joseph, and the king sent right away and had Joseph brought out of prison to his palace. (Picture vividly the rest of this beautiful story in all

When his master, the rich man gave him work to do, he was faithful and always did his very best, and very soon his master saw how well he did his work, and gave him charge over all his work. You see Joseph was just as faithful in his work, even though far from home, for he trusted God who helped him to be brave and strong. Joseph was very happy to be given charge over his mas­ ter’s house, but one day some one asked him to do something that was very wrong, and when Joseph would not do it he was put into, prison where it was very dark and unpleasant, but Joseph remembered his dear friend, his heav­ enly Father was there with him, even
