SEPTEMBER JTNZ VOL.III | BAM SOUTH

Looking ahead, Kelsey envisions Terra Futura as more than a single neighborhood - as a model. “In the beginning, when people asked if we’d do this again, we said, ‘Absolutely not - this is a headache,’” she laughs. “But the truth is, we’ve put too much heart and soul into it to stop now.” She hopes one day to help other values- driven developers launch their own regenerative communities - and to prove that a mission-led model can also be profitable enough to scale. “We live pretty simply,” she says, “but we’ve realized that if you don’t have income and wealth to put behind your values, good intentions don’t go far. Income equals impact. We want to succeed so others will be inspired to follow.”

Building the Future They Want to Raise Their Children In

By the time the last home is finished, two Henry children will have taken their first steps among its gardens. That thought makes Kelsey’s voice go soft.

“We’re not just building houses, We’re building the kind of future we want our children to inherit.”
