For him, the tech matters, but the people matter more. “There’s always going to be a black box someone claims will solve everything,” he said. “But what excites me most? The conversations. The way raters across the country are sharing knowledge with each other. That’s innovation too.” And then there’s resilience.
“We’re not federally funded, we don’t rely on programs that come and go. When the dust clears, the HERS index will still be there. It’s the gold standard.”
