Flint Group acquired Printec Industries, Inc. locat- ed in Marietta, Georgia. Printec manufactures and sells water-based inks for flexo and gravure applica- tions to a group of key printers in the North Ameri- can region. Esko and Corbus LLC signed a teaming agree- ment to combine their products and service exper- tise to better support their clients. RAKO, X-label and Baumgarten announced that the three companies merged with plans to create a label printing “powerhouse” that will stretch from Latin America, across Europe and Asia.The new group of companies have more than 3,000 employees spread over 30 production sites worldwide and a turnover in excess of $500 million. Inovar Packaging Group, LLC , a label manufac- turer headquartered in Arlington,Texas, purchased La- belPrint America of Newburyport, Massachusetts. Colbert Packaging Corporation , Lake Forest, Illi- nois, a manufacturer of folding cartons, rigid setup boxes and paperboard specialty products, an- nounced plans to move its flexographic packaging operation and related warehousing services to Kenosha,Wisconsin. Mark Andy confirmed that the first of its Digital Series hybrid solutions to be sold in Europe was in- stalled at Arti-Bau in Poland. The Saica Group acquired 100 percent of the Irish owned Americk Packaging Group of companies. Packaging Corporation of America entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Columbus Container, Inc., an indepen- dent corrugated products producer, in a cash-free, debt-free transaction for a cash purchase price of $100 million.
