In addition, an analysis is made of home and church ministries related to childhood education. Elective. PT 761 YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION (Same as CE 661) (2) Finding and meeting adolescent needs, writing objectives for youth ministry, leadership of learning experiences and outreach experiences, disciple-building and review of available resources. PT 771 YOUNG ADULT DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION (Same as CE 671) (2) Survey of issues confronting young adults in contemporary life and opportunities for the church within the concept of ministry to assist those in young adulthood in meeting these issues. Special attention to the areas of single adults and single parents. Elective. PT 772 OLDER ADULT DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION (Same as CE 672) (2) Focus on the gerontological needs (i.e . , physiological, sociolog­ ical, psychological) of older adults and on the opportunities for the church · within the concept of ministry to work with the community to assist in meeting these needs. Emphasis on the value of educational development and the older person's signifi­ cance and need to contribute to the church body. Elective. PT 773 BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE FAMILY (Same as CE 673) (2) Relating biblical teachings about marriage, family and human relationships to the nuclear and extended families, early mar­ riage, and parenting skills. vocational Christian workers and their families. Includes all phases of occupational Christian ministry. Elective. PT 775 FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION IN THE LOCAL CHURCH (Same as CE 675) (4) Objectives, organization and administration of a program of family life education in the local church. Includes an analysis of

A program designed to give supervised experience in various phases of Christian ministry. One hundred hours of field experi­ ence each semester, including classroom interaction. Div. students majoring in this department who will write a thesis. PT 797 will be taken at the completion of 64 units, and PT 798 at the completion of 80 units.
