CE 661 YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION (Same as PT 761) (2) Finding and meeting adolescent needs, writing objectives for youth ministry, leadership of learning experiences and outreach experiences, disciple-building and review of available resources. Development of personal plans for ministry. Elective. CE 662 YOUTH LEADERSHIP (2) Emphasis on the leadership role in the local church, college campuses and mission field. Development of a youth leadership program within the local church. Study of extra-church organiza­ tions and parent-teen relationships and ministry emphasized. Elective. CE 671 YOUNG ADULT DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION (Same as PT 771) (2) Survey of issues confronting young adults in contemporary life and opportunities for the church within the concept of ministry to assist those in young adulthood in meeting these issues. Special attention to the areas of single adults and single-parents. Elective. CE 672 OLDER ADULT DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION (Same as PT 772) (2) Focus on the gerontological needs (i.e., physiological, sociolo­ gical, psychological) of older adults and on the opportunities for the church, within the concept of ministry to work with the community to assist in meeting these needs. Emphasis on the value of educational development and the older person's signifi­ cance and need to contribute to the church body. Elective. CE 678 MIDDLE ADULT DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION A study of issues and developmental tasks of adults in the middle years. Attention to the ministry of meeting the needs and utilizing the potential of mid-life adults. Elective. CE 683 CAMP LEADERSHIP (2) The philosophy, objectives, administration, program and lead­ ership of a church-related camp. The use of worship, study, crafts, recreation and counseling in church camping. Investiga­ tion into trends of camping, centralized and decentralized camp­ ing. Techniques in planning and directing a camp program, including counselor training. Elective. CE 684 CAMP AND CONFERENCE (2) An advanced course in camping administration, programming and staff relationships. The student will be involved in a direct work project at a local Christian camp with faculty-staff supervi­ sion. Elective. Also investigation into personality development as it relates to Christian growth and lifestyle including mental health, behavioral abnormalities and implications for ministering toward adjustment. Supervised practice in the use and interpretation of specific tests and measurement devices relevant to the education­ al program of the church. Elective.
