1. Professional level of knowledge (IEMA CE or other such body CIWM etc), supported by evidence, which demonstrates you have an authoritative understanding of operational sustainability in Higher Education 2. Broad and extensive experience with examples of quantifiable success, through your wide and significant exposure to the sustainability aspects of complex practices and precedents over at least 5 years, including but not limited to procurement, travel, waste, finance, carbon management (all scopes), construction, IS, residences, water 3. Background and experience necessary to provide professional, technical sustainability advice to identify and implement opportunities for the reduction of environmental impact, involving the management of change 4. A further relevant professional qualification and membership of relevant professional body 5. Considerable experience of operating auditable management systems, particularly in the field of sustainability (3 years) and data management and auditing experience. 7. Experience of, and demonstrated success in teamwork and delivering results in relation to sustainability 8. Experience of organising professional development activities (preferably CPD accredited) 9. Experience of monitoring and recording data to inform programmes of work and achieve demonstrable improvements 10. Experience of establishing and delivery targets in an annual schedule of work with transparency and dissemination Skills & Competencies 1. High proficiency with a range of relevant technologies (Outlook, Word, Excel, social media etc) 2. Evidence of applying innovation to achieve mutual benefits for a range of disparate stakeholders 4. Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels- oral and written 5. Attention to detail in preparation and delivery of management information to a wide audience 6. Having experience of ‘Lead Auditor’ role. 3. Excellent numeracy, budget management and IT skills
