Aug. 25 Wag, Wine & Dine Your furry friends will be pawsitively excited to partake in this Wag, Wine & Dine event on Aug. 25. From 1 to 5 p.m. you and your fur babies can enjoy a day of indulgence at Meritage Resort and Spa, 875 Bourdeaux Way. Pet owners can snack on delicious bites and sip on local wines while pets wag their tails at new toys they want. Proceeds from this event go toward the nonprofit Waggin’ Trails Rescue Foundation. VIP tickets are $125; general admission is $95; and tickets for children ages 6-12 are $45 and can be purchased on waggintrailsrescue.com.
Aug. 22: Sip & Craft at Levendi Tasting Room On Aug. 22, head to Levendi Tasting Room, 1465 First St., where you will use a wine bottle as a canvas. From 7 to 9 p.m. guests can look forward to sampling: 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, 2022 Rosé of Pinot Noir, 2022 Charisma Pinot Noir, 2020 Symphonia Red Blend and 2020 Sweetwater Cabernet Sauvignon. Aug. 10: Music in the Vineyards: Not-so- silent cinema Music in the Vineyards returns for its third annual celebration of silent films accompanied by newly composed music written by Stephen Prutsman. Attendees will head to Jarvis Conservatory theater, 1711 Main St., on Aug. 10 at noon. The movies featured include: Cupid in Quarantine , Mighty Like a Moose , Suspense and One Week . Aug. 17: Earth Night Festival This year marks the 13th annual Earth Night Festival hosted by the Connolly Ranch Education Center, 3141 Browns Valley Road. On Aug. 17 from 5 to 8:30 p.m., attendees can celebrate the arts, music, community and nature. The Earth and is full of nature- based activities and will be equipped with food trucks from local vendors in the county. Sliding scale tickets are available for purchase on connollyranch.com. Aug. 14: Yappy Hour Pool Pawty Trying to find a way to keep your pups cool this summer? Alba Restaurant at River Terrace Inn, 1600 Soscol Ave., is having a pool pawty, from 5 to 7 p.m., for your favorite furry friends on Aug. 14. There will be Pooch Provisions available for your pets to enjoy along with refreshing themed cocktails for their humans. Guests can also purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a prize, the profits from the raffle will go toward supporting the Ripple Effect Animal
