• Universal all-position electrode ideally suited for repair and fabrication of most types of mild steel and sheet metal • Excellent for poor fit situations and joining sheet metal to thick stock • No sticking and easy restrike • Easily repairs galvanized steel even if dirty and greasy. Saves prep time. • Replaces many 60 series (6010, 6011, 6013, etc.) electrode but has a higher tensile strength and elongation % • Electrode can be bent without flux breakage
• Contact (drag) type transfer allows electrode to weld by itself • Welding Positions: flat, horizontal, flat up and down, and overhead • Recommended Current: DC Straight (-), Reverse (+) or AC • Recommended Amperage Settings (min/max): 1/16” (20/40); 3/32” (50/70); 1/8” (70/110); 5/32” (115/140); 3/16” (150/200)
• Tensile Strength: 83,000 psi • Yield Strength: 75,000 psi • Elongation: 25%

• Low Hydrogen, high strength DC electrode for joining low and medium carbon steels. low alloy steels, and construction steels • Low spatter yield, self-releasing slag and uniform ripple deposits • 1116LH has an extra low moisture content to reduce hydrogen induced cracking in the weld • Welds even dirty and greasy steel. Saves prep time. • Replaces many 70 series electrodes (7014, 7018, 7024, etc.) but has a higher tensile strength and elongation % • Operates in all positions • Flux Color: Gray • Welding Positions: Flat, Vertical Up and Down, Horizontal, and Overhead
• Recommended Current: DC Reverse (+) • Recommended Amperage Settings (min/max): 1/8” (100/140); 5/32” (140/190) • Tensile Strength: 120,000 psi • Yield Strength: 96,000 psi • Elongation: 23% • Welding Techniques: For the majority of materials to be welded with these elctrodes, minimum preheats between 212°F 176;F (100°F 176°C) and 392°F 176°F (200°F 176°C) is required to avoid hydrogen induced “cold” cracking. Remove all surface contaminants. Maintain a short arc gap and use a stringer or slight weave technique. Chip slag thoroughly between passes
