• Welding Positions: flat, horizontal, vertical up and down, and overhead • Tensile Strength: 80,000 psi • Yield Strength: 56,000 psi • Elongation: 42% • Hardness: Rockwell B96; Brinell 209
• Special all position stainless steel electrode • Unique “Quick Freeze” coating simplifies vertical down and up welding • Ideal for poor fit up joints in all positions • Controlled weld puddle allows for filling holes on stainless steels • Welds all stainless steels, including those that contain molybdenum • Welds even dirty and greasy stainless steels. Saves prep time.
TUNGSTEN ELECTRODES
Pure Tungsten Pure Tungsten electrodes are basically unalloyed; they contain a minimum of 99.5% tungsten. Pure Tungsten readily forms a ball on the end. Generally used for AC welding of aluminum. Principally used on Aluminum, Magnesium. 2% Thoriated Tungsten The most common electrode used today. Generally used for DC welding of steel and stainless steel and offers good overall performance. This tungsten has a low-level radiation hazard. Principally used on Carbon Steels, Stainless Steels, Nickel, Nickel Alloys, Titanium, Copper Alloys. 1.5% Lanthanated Tungsten Lanthanated tungsten is a popular substitute for 2% Thoriated tungsten. It offers good arc starting characteristics, longer life than 2% Thoriated, and no radiation hazard. It can be used for both AC and DC welding. Principally used on Carbon Steels, Stainless Steels, Nickel, Nickel Alloys, Titanium, Copper Alloys.

• 7018 mild steel electrodes are a high deposition electrode for low and medium carbon steels. It is an efficient, iron powder, low hydrogen electrode with excellent mechanical properties; crack resistance; and X-ray quality welds. This electrode offers a quiet, stable, low penetration, spatter-free arc. The moderately heavy slag is easy to remove, revealing a bead with distinct ripples. • Operator appeal is a plus factor. • Chemical Composition: C-0.08%, Mn-1.00%, Si-.60%, S-.011%, P-.021%, Fe-REM
• High strength • Contractor use • Easy strike tip for good starts • Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5.1 & ASME SFA 5.1 E7018
