From rodeo dirt to jazz solos, midnight concerts to talent show mic drops—these are the moments we live for. Here’s what our students had to say about their favorite campus traditions: What’s Your Favorite SWOSU Event?
The President’s Pancake Breakfast during Finals Week is one of my favorite events! It gives students a break from studying, free pancakes, and time to hang out with friends.”
The Jazz Festival is always incredible. Big-name bands perform, and it inspires younger musicians to pursue their passion—which SWOSU supports really well.”

The Organizational Fair is THE best event on campus. Starting the year by meeting students with all kinds of interests is the best way to feel connected.”
Through one of SWOSU’s annual study abroad trips, I didn’t just cross borders—I crossed into new perspectives. In Peru, I learned that leadership begins where comfort ends.”
SWOSU has truly become my second home. The support from the athletic department and Weatherford community has helped me grow on and off the court. From warm greetings around campus to loud cheers at volleyball games, I’m proud to be part of this program and town.” CAMERON T. Volleyball, Class of ‘25 I’ve grown so much at SWOSU. The coaches and athletic staff always had my back, helping me balance football and school. I’ve made lifelong friends and connected with people from all over the world. It’s made my college experience deeply meaningful.” ZACK R. Football, Class of ‘24, ‘26
