As Easy as PIE™ Introducing Our New Promise Law Maintenance Program

As we celebrate the start of a new decade, I can’t help

but think about how much has changed in the

past 10 years. Many changes occur over

the course of just one year, and in the past decade, Promise Law and my personal life have certainly evolved. In the May 2019 edition of the Promise Law Post, I shared that a careful review of my estate plan revealed that my plan didn’t reflect my life. When I realized how much I had to change in my plan, I was shocked. If I, an estate planning attorney who gives more attention to planning than the average person, had details in my plan I had forgotten and changes in my life that impacted my plan, I cannot be alone. In that same sense, your life has likely changed since you first created your estate plan. When you finish your estate plan, there’s a sense of relief. You’ve learned the legal terms

informed and your plan relevant. If there are changes in the law that require a revision to your documents, then members will receive those updates for free. In addition, you won’t be charged for any work we do with other professionals, such as a financial advisor, involved in your plan. Membership in the PIE™ Maintenance Program also provides you with exclusive access to members-only events that will be both informative and fun. We promise. So, why do we call it PIE™? This acronym encompasses the significant pieces of keeping your plan current with a focus on people, investments, and education. You need a plan that adapts to your present reality, and since we all have a life to live, you deserve a practice that’s going to work with you to take care of these adjustments.

and concepts that shape a plan to reflect your wishes, and you feel satisfied knowing your loved ones have a plan in place should anything happen to you. It’s tempting to toss that plan into a drawer and not think about it again. But consider for a moment how much you have changed in the past decade. You’ve probably experienced quite a few adjustments and even major life changes. Does your plan still make sense? What’s the cost to you or your family if your plan is not current? Well, you no longer have to wonder or worry about staying on top of your plan. We will do that for you. I’m excited to announce that Promise Law now offers a program to keep your estate plan in step with your life. The Promise Law PIE™ Maintenance Program provides members with yearly access to our attorneys for a complimentary consultation to comb through their estate plan. These meetings offer an opportunity to learn more about the components of your plan and discuss changes in your family, health, and finances, all with the goal of keeping you
