LABORATORY SAFETY RULES
CLOTHING Wear appropriate clothing before entering the lab and always wear pesonal protective gear such as safety goggles, lab aprons or coats, and protective gloves. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS Be sure to follow both verbal and written instructions attentively. If you have any doubts about any aspect of the activity, be sure to ask your teacher before proceeding. MONITOR Be sure to personally oversee all experiments and avoid leaving them unattended. DON'T EAT OR DRINK Refrain from eating, drinking, or chewing gum. Do not bring any food or drinks into the lab and avoid storing or placing them inside any lab glassware or equipment. BE CAREFUL Please use caution when dealing with chemicals, glassware, and equipment. BE AWARE Do not inhale or ingest any chemicals or substances. TIDY UP Ensure that your work area is kept neat and organized. Store your belongings in the designated areas and maintain clear aisles. SAFETY EQUIPMENT Make sure you know the location of the safety equipment and what to do if an incident occurs. Report any spills or accidents to your teacher immediately. BE RESPONSIBLE Please use the laboratory space responsibly. Only carry out authorized experiments following the defined protocols.
