Garrett Nishimori Business Manager at San Miguel Produce
Garrett is Business Manager at San Miguel Produce in Oxnard, Calif., a grower of dark leafy greens. In this position, Garrett oversees all financial management of the farm. He is also Managing Member of Herb Farm. Prior to joining San Miguel in 2010, Garrett worked as a chef in the restaurant industry. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Biology and Economics at the University of California, Berkeley, and studied Culinary Arts at the California Culinary Academy.
Free-falling, what a thrill! Skydiving in Kauai was probably the most daring thing I have done with my mom and my sisters. Everyone had a great time and is ready to do it again.
Play Ball! I am having a lot of fun coaching my oldest son, Caleb (and hopefully soon my younger son Devon). Right now at this age it is probably more play than actually learning baseball and I am enjoying every minute of it.
Farm to fork- with roots in farming and professional cooking experience in the kitchen, I love to develop new recipes with products we grow.
Growing up playing a lot of baseball, it has also been my favorite professional sport too. I have been born and raised a Dodger fan and despite my college and young professional years up in the Bay Area, I still bleed blue.
