kings—then may God give us MORE OF THEM! “ Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, with out spot, and blameless” (2 Pet. 3:14). For forty years this editor has been associated with Bible teachers and Bible institutes. Thank God for most precious memories of many great men of the Book who are now with the Teacher of teachers above! In those early days we delighted to talk about prophetic things with Robert Garry (“Man of One Book” ), R. A. Torrey, William H. Pike, John A. Davis, John Maclnnis, Fred erick W. Farr, R. E. Neighbour, Dr. Griffith-Thomas, John Robinson and John McNeill of Scotland, Cortland Myers, A. C. Gaebelein, Ford Ottman, Charles Inglis, W. E. Pettingill, Campbell Mor gan, Harris Gregg, Charles G. Trumbull, T. C. Horton, Louis Bauman, Arthur I. Brown, A. C. Dixon—to mention only a few of them—all now in heaven! They were one in these great premillennial truths. What they said would come to pass, HAS and IS coming to pass. Many other great teachers of the Word still carry the torch—David L. Cooper, Louis Talbot, Donald Barnhouse, Roy Brown, Dr. Philpott, Harry Rim- mer, Dr. L. Sale-Harrison, Dr. Walter Wilson—and so on. Thank God for the premillennial testimony of great radio teachers of the Word—Charles Fuller, Dr. DeHaan, William E. Pietsch, Wm. Ward Ayer, John Brown, Percy Craw ford—a great company of Bible insti tute teachers and Christian editors! God give fresh courage to these MEN OF THE BOOK to stand firmly for our PREMILLENNIAL FAITH in these last days of religious confusion. Let us cling as never before to the basic fact that the Bible is its own best interpreter. One part of the Bible throws light upon another. Its own symbolism is interpreted therein. Compare Scrip ture with Scripture and get the clear answers to questions which theologians will continue either to ignore, discount or speculate upon. You will be kept from date-setting, from speculating on the anti-Christ and a hundred other vagaries which come from turning away from the Book to various historical theories and methods for evaporating the plain words of Scripture. The American Prophetic League—God willing—will be here, standing with the “ Bible teachers” for the essential truths for which some of the greatest teachers of all time have laid down their lives during the span of the life of the one who writes these lines. We shall con tinue our series of articles presenting Scriptural defense of our positions and all the publications of the American Prophetic League are available to the same end.
