Scoutcraft The heart of traditional camping programs lies in the learning of basic outdoor skills. At K-M we seek to instill a love of the outdoors and an appreciation for active contributions to its stewardship. We teach and use the principles of Outdoor Code, Leave No Trace, Totin’ Chip, Firem’n Chit, Conservation, and other basic outdoor skills. We offer skill instruction for a wide range of outdoor merit badges.

Shark Tank: Based on CNBC’s hit show “Shark Tank” in which entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas for investment, Scouts will take their shot at an entrepreneurial idea of their own! They will learn how to develop a business plan and how to pitch it. While covering several requirements from the Communication, Entrepreneurship, and Salesmanship merit badges, this program is designed more as a fun experience instead of focusing on advancement. First Year Camper This program is designed to serve as a foundation for rank advancement in Scouts BSA. Scouts learn outdoor skills while working through rank requirements for Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks. The First Year Camper program takes place every morning Monday-Thursday from 9am-noon. Registered Scouts will need to attend every day. Please note that K-M staff does not “sign off” rank requirements. It is the unit’s responsibility to confirm and approve that individual Scouts have met the requirements.
