WORKER’S COMP CORNER E-Filing Is Coming to Nevada Workers’ Compensation Cases The Nevada Department of Administration’s Hearings Division has issued a notice of intent to adopt and amend regulations related to implementing an electronic filing system for contested workers’ compensation cases. A public hearing will be held on June 13, 2024, to receive comments on the proposed regulations. Key points for injured workers are: 1. The Hearings Division is developing an electronic filing system to streamline the filing and service of documents in contested cases. 2. Parties represented by counsel or licensed representatives will be required to use the electronic filing system. Unrepresented parties may still file documents in person, by mail, or by fax. 3. The Hearings Division will provide assistance and training to unrepresented parties who wish to use the electronic filing system. 4. The proposed regulations aim to reduce costs for all parties involved in litigating cases by eliminating the need for physical document transportation and copying. 5. Parties can submit written comments on the proposed regulations to the Hearings Division by June 7, 2024. 6. The public hearing will be held both in-person and telephonically, allowing for greater accessibility. Sheet Pan Shrimp Fajitas

2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 bell peppers, sliced

1 onion, sliced 3 tbsp olive oil

2 tsp chili powder

2 tsp cumin

1 tsp smoked paprika 1 tsp garlic powder Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. 3. Place bell pepper and onion on the baking sheet. 4. Drizzle evenly with 2 tbsp of olive oil and sprinkle with the chili powder mixture; reserve some for shrimp. Bake for 12 minutes. 5. Remove sheet pan from oven and push veggies to one side. Add shrimp to the empty side. Drizzle with 1 tbsp olive oil and spices. Return sheet pan to oven and bake for another 6 minutes, until shrimp are pink.

6. Serve on warm tortillas with desired toppings.
