**Dominant stage at diagnosis is the same as AJCC pathologic stage when a value between 0 and 4 is available. Otherwise, it is determined from the recorded AJCC clinical stage. AJCC (American Joint Commission on Cancer) stage groupings gather cases into categories to facilitate analysis with lesser disease diagnosed at Stage I.
