FREE E-LEARNING PROGRAMME LAUNCHED BY LIGHTHOUSE

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity has launched a new e-learning programme as part of its Wellbeing Academy. The charity’s Wellbeing Academy already offers online tutor-led masterclasses, seminars and onsite training, and this latest addition is aimed at equipping workers with the soft skills they need to navigate today’s challenges and uncertain times. The free, self-paced, e-learning modules include; Bang on Budget, Banter vs Bullying, Managing Stress, Resolving Conflict, Understanding Anxiety and Work Life Balance. ARBOUR HOUSING TO LEAD £40M NEW HOUSING PROGRAMME

Arbour Housing is set to create 270 new social and affordable homes across Northern Ireland as part of a £20 million investment project, supported by Danske Bank. The facility will enable Arbour Housing to access housing development grants from the Department for Communities, combining public and private funding to create a total investment in new homes of some £40m. The flagship project in its new development strategy will see 98 new social houses being created at a site on Buncrana Road

in Derry-Londonderry, helping to meet high demand for new housing in the area. Arbour Housing has entered into a design and build agreement with Derry-based developer EHA Group to deliver the Buncrana Road scheme. Jordan Allingham, Director of EHA Group, said, “It is evident that the Derry city area has been underserved in recent years when it comes to quality and affordable housing needs. EHA is delighted to be part of the bigger picture by working in partnership with Arbour to alleviate these demands.”

HAGAN HOMES RENEWS PARTNERSHIP WITH DOLLY PARTON CHARITY

Hagan Homes is committing to supporting the literacy needs of young children here by renewing its partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which it has been involved in for three years. Hagan Homes is doubling its investment to £150,000 and bringing the total number of books it will have delivered to children here to over 100,000 over six years The Ballyclare-based homebuilder, hopes this move will encourage other local businesses and individuals to do the same, no matter how large or small the donation, to benefit all young children in Northern Ireland and leave an invaluable legacy of literacy. With Hagan Homes’ new commitment of £150,000, even more children in Belfast are set to benefit from the Imagination Library which posts age-appropriate books to children, aged from 0 to 5 years old, connected to nine Sure Start Centres across Belfast.
