CHURCH COMMUNITY HALL PROJECT WINS CEF EXCELLENCE AWARD… ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR
G R White & Son Ltd delivered the electrical package for the award- winning new build community hall project for Waringstown Presbyterian Church. The scope of works included LED strip lighting, extensive AV installation, PV panels and a new passenger lift. The project won the General Construction Project of the Year, Above £1m, accolade in the CEF 2022 Excellence Awards. The new facility was commissioned to accommodate Waringstown Prebsyterian Church’s growing congregation and also for the use of the local community. The project wasn’t without its challenges but the highly skilled and experienced GR White & Sons’ team was more than capable to meet them. The two-storey community hall was constructed on a restricted site adjacent to a listed church building and a graveyard, both of which
remained operational. Working within a ‘live’ environment required close liaison between the site manager and the client’s facility manager, with agreed ‘down’ times arranged for specific church occasions such a funerals. Operating throughout Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and England, GR
