Windy Creek Cattle Company - Annual Simmental Bull Sale [3/1/26]

WINC is a prefix with rising popularity among those who enjoy good livestock with added performance. It’s also a prefix that represents a young family’s focus and sacrifice in pursuing their goals in animal agriculture. Windy Creek Cattle has maintained the course set by Jeremy Lehrman’s initial assessment of his potential client base at the start of this spotlight operation. He knew he needed cattle that were heavier across the scales, dense in product, and loaded with significant predictability. That approach laid the foundation for where they are today, and it will continue on that path for the years ahead. Jeremy will be the first to admit that he has had some of the best and brightest cattlemen and production agriculturalists as mentors. His grandfather, first and foremost, gave him a strong start with advice to seek out those who are successful and not be afraid to ask questions. Steve Reimer, Steve Eichacker, and Chris Effling have all helped Jeremy along the way. Each of those gentlemen has had much success and maintain great respect from many folks in the beef industry. Jeremy sorted out what fit his operation best and has plowed a big swath forward with genetics from each of those industry and breed legends. For those who attended the Windy Creek Female sale in November, you witnessed firsthand the sister mates to these bulls selling. They were not only true to the prefix kind but also impressive for their feminine, future-brood-cow presence and kind. That female offering further solidifies the lifetime pledge to cattle that weigh and yield. Jeremy is very deliberate in his approach to breeding stock. He minimizes sire groups and is NOT AFRAID of investment in herd sires. He made two major acquisitions in 2025 that will be extremely impactful in the 2027 offering as the first WINC-prefixed progeny arrive from those two heavy-hitter herd sires. However, this is the very best set of male progeny offered at public auction from the progressive firm. The 2026 offering is loaded with product-focused herd sires suitable for seedstock or their loyal commercial client base. These bulls will sire cattle with conversion and red meat yield, and the weight to capture every dollar available across the scales or on the rail. The WINC represents an operation that is serious about the beef business and even more serious about keeping its customer base profitable and in business for generations as it continues to expand, preparing for when the next generation returns to assume the reins if that’s the desire. It’s no secret what the general marketplace has been like, and it appears that it is here to stay for at least another couple of years. Now is not the time to sit on the bench or the porch; it’s time to make the investment in next-generation genetics with enhanced, low-input conversion and density, along with improved product yield. If you have never been to the Windy Creek Sale Pavilion, we encourage you to make the destination on March 1, 2026. The bulls will be impressive, and the hospitality will be enjoyable and worthy of your Sunday afternoon. Some of the very best in “old fashioned” technology can be had with your investment in genetics for the next generation calf crop on your ranch. If you should need any additional information or assistance with selection or sight unseen purchasing please feel free to reach out to any member of the Windy Creek Family or Innovation Ag Marketing team for those needs. We look forward to seeing you at the sale so be careful in your travels and enjoy the bulls. Graham Blagg Jered Shipman Tim Anderson Innovation AgMarketing, LLC
