Profesor guía Teacher: Cristián Winckler Universidad San Sebastián Santiago El teatro navegante surge como respuesta al difícil acceso a infraestructura cultural en el archipiélago. La arquitectura asume y adopta la necesidad del desplazamiento llevando el teatro a las islas, creando una escena dentro del paisaje y guardando escenas en su interior para los espectadores que entran. Su construcción se concibe a manos de los carpinteros de ribera. El sistema de flotación consta de estanques puestos en el casco de geometría regular, que da estabilidad a la estructura. Esta se amarra a una embarcación independiente que la desplaza. The navigating theater rises in response to the difficult access to cultural infrastructure in the archipelago. Architecture assumes and adopts the need of displacement taking the theater to the islands, creating a scene within the landscape and keeping scenes in its interior for the entering spectators. Its construction is conceived by the shoreside carpenters. The flotation system consists of tanks placed in the hull of regular geometry, giving stability to a structure tied to an independent vessel that pulls it.
