El proyecto fue concebido con los más altos estándares de confort térmico pasivo, a fin de minimizar el uso de equipos de climatización. Se incorporó poliuretano proyectado ignífugo en todas las fachadas, seguido de palmetas alveolares de terracota fijadas mediante perfiles metálicos para así lograr el efecto de fachada ventilada. Para el control solar se utilizaron ventanas tipo termopanel con cristal Low E, las cuales fueron antecedidas por persianas metálicas microperforadas. Estos elementos cumplen un doble objetivo: tamizar la luz y controlar el calor que entra a cada recinto, además de aportar un juego cinético a las fachadas según la hora del día y el uso que los propietarios le den a cada recinto. En cuanto a tecnología de control climático se optó por la aerotermia, que aprovecha la energía del aire exterior. Utiliza el ciclo frigorífico directo en refrigeración y el inverso para producir calefacción y agua caliente, mediante una bomba de calor independiente para cada departamento. El sistema es sustentable, calificado como energía renovable por la Unión Europea.
The project was conceived with the highest standards of passive thermal comfort in order to minimize the use of air conditioning. Flame retardant polyurethane was incorporated in all the façades, covered by alveolar terracotta tiles fixed by metal profiles to achieve the effect of a ventilated façade. For solar control, dual pane windows with Low E glass were used, preceded by microperforated metal blinds. These elements have a double purpose: to filter the light and control the heat that enters each room, while providing a dynamic effect to the façades according to the time of day and the use the owners give to each room. In terms of climate control technology, an aerothermal system was chosen using the energy of the outside air. It uses a direct refrigeration cycle for cooling and an inverse one to produce heating and hot water, by means of an independent heat pump for each apartment. The system is sustainable, qualified as renewable energy by the European Union.
