Colleen Orilio I'm walking to thank everyone who help me through this journey especially my husband, daughters, family, friends and coworkers. Shikira Quamina I'm walking because I'm happy to be here and want to celebrate my Auntie Pearl's Birthday in a special way. Rachel Lousteau I’m walking to commemorate this journey and to celebrate the lifesaving care of Dr. Borgen and his team at Maimonides. Kimyatta Davis I’m walking to confirm when you stop procrastinating and refuse to be a hypocrite you can have a healthy, happy pep when you step.
Melissa Kono I walk because my good friend Kristi Vosbeck is this years’s designer and she was so supportive of me when I was diagnosed earlier this year. I walk for the friends, family, and caregivers who support us as we fight and survive.

Dr. Natalie Zelenko 2023 PINK RUNWAY HERO
Dr. Natalie Zelenko holds a medical degree from Cornell University Medical College from where she graduated in 2004. She completed her radiology residency program at Maimonides Medical Center and became the first Breast Imaging fellow at MMC. Dr. Zelenko has been a dedicated breast radiologist at our breast center since 2010 and for the past 8 years has served as the Associate Director of Breast Imaging. Dr. Zelenko is an author of multiple published peer review articles, several radiology textbook chapters and has presented at national radiology conferences. She has organized numerous community outreach events, educating women about the importance of breast cancer screening and empowering them to take an active role in their health.
Dr. Zelenko’s Philosophy: “Patient Comfort and Medical Teamwork are critical components of patient care. It is essential for me to be able to provide a comfortable and painless environment during the diagnostic process. I deeply believe that a patient's best outcome is achieved when specialists from various medical disciplines collaborate closely with each other in the care of every individual patient.”

I have known Pat since my initial breast cancer diagnosis in 1990. He has been my surgeon five times and has always astonished me with his level of personal care. I have been through five types of chemotherapy plus radiation and when hope was all but gone, Pat found an experimental program for which I was a fit and has kept me alive for over 12 years. It never would have been available were it not for Pat’s concern. which extended far beyond the O.R. Through the years I have referred seven other women to him and each has agreed that Pat’s passion for his patients and their care makes each of us feel as if we are the only one who has been diagnosed with this devastating disease.
