It was sold a year later. the architects Hermógenes Pérez Saavedra (1927-2009) + Luz Valderrama De la Cruz Hermógenes Pérez Saavedra was born in Rafael De Cuyo in Argentina on January 15, 1927. At the age of ten, he went to live in Chile. He studied architecture at the University of Chile, where he met Luz Valderrama De la Cruz, whom he married and had three children with. He graduated in 1951 and went to study earthquake architecture at the Politecnico di Milano. Upon his return, he began de- signing the Leclerc house. He taught at the University of Chile until 1964. His marriage ended in 1972 and later he remarried. According to the architect, for the design of the house, both he and his wife were inspired by the work of Richard Neutra in the city of Los Angeles, California. When he finished the house, he partnered with architect Jaime Bendersky and later with architect Abraham Sener- man, a partnership that lasted 20 years (1977 - 1997). He moved to Valparaiso and later returned to Santiago where he worked in a private hospital overseeing infrastructure projects. He passed away in 2009. Luz Valderrama was Genoveva's sister and that is why the commission went to them, she was in her last year of college and graduated in 1959, a year after the house was finished.

Se tituló en 1951 y viajó a estudiar arquitectura antisísmica al Politécnico de Milán. A su regreso comenzó el diseño de la casa Leclerc. Hizo clases en la Universidad de Chile hasta el año 1964. Su matrimonio se terminó en el año 1972 y posteriormente se volvió a casar. Según el arquitecto, para el diseño de la casa, tanto él como su esposa, se inspiraron en la obra de Richard Neutra en la ciudad de Los Ángeles, California. Cuando terminó la casa, se asoció con el arquitecto Jaime Bendersky y, posteriormente, con el arquitecto Abraham Senerman, sociedad que duró 20 años (1977 – 1997). Se trasladó a Valparaíso y posteriormente volvió a Santiago donde trabajó en una clínica privada viendo proyectos de infraestructura. Falleció en 2009. Luz Valderrama era hermana de Genoveva y es por ahí que les llegó el encargo, ella estaba en su último año de carrera y se tituló en 1959, un año después de terminada la casa.
