La investigación se enfocó en recopilar la información histórico- constructiva del edificio, estableciendo como primer objetivo el construir una matriz histórica de ordenamiento cronológico que sirviera como base para comprender los acontecimientos políticos, sociales y sus implicancias en la arquitectura. Esto permitió construir, por primera vez, un relato sistémico asociado al Plan Maestro y a los estudios referenciales para el proyecto de restauración integral. Además, se buscó contextualizar con mayor precisión el conocimiento de las intervenciones consideradas relevantes en La Moneda de los siglos XX y XXI, los proyectos y obras de la DA MOP, como también aquellas obras menores catastradas e identificadas. Es importante establecer que el objetivo de este estudio no pretende ser concluyente en evaluar la pertinencia de las intervenciones, sino que busca realizar un registro ordenado de aquellas consideradas relevantes en la caracterización del edificio, para dar cuenta de un estado del arte presente y para aportar a una mayor comprensión de las acciones preexistentes desde un contexto dinámico con el fin de facultar en el proceso consultivo en acciones futuras. Con este análisis de intervenciones, el elemento capaz de potenciar cada valor en el conjunto bajo una consideración patrimonial será el Proyecto Patrimonial (Peral, 1999). The research focused on compiling historical-constructive information on the building, establishing the first objective of constructing a historical matrix of chronological order that would serve as a basis for understanding political and social events and their implications on the architecture. This allowed the construction, for the first time, of a systemic narrative associated with the Master Plan and the referential studies for the integral restoration project. In addition, we sought to contextualize the knowledge of the interventions considered relevant in La Moneda in the 20th and 21st centuries, the projects and works of the DA MOP, as well as those minor works that were registered and identified with greater precision. It is important to establish the objective of this study is not to be conclusive in evaluating the pertinence of the interventions, but rather to make an organized record of the interventions considered relevant in the characterization of the building, in order to provide a status of the present art and to contribute a better understanding of the pre- existing actions from a dynamic context to empower the consultative process in future actions. With this intervention analysis, the component capable of enhancing each value as a whole under patrimonial consideration will be the Patrimonial Project (Peral, 1999).
