The Kappa Alpha Psi ® Journal is now caught up with its publications, Kappa national news and events. As a result, effective with this issue, all submissions must be received by your Province Reporter by the above-referenced deadlines. The Province Reporter will determine if the submissions should be published in the Province newsletter or sent the Journal. The Province Reporter will make his determination and forward the submissions to the Journal within 24 hours of the deadline. For proper consideration, article subject matter should be (1) of national import and reflective of the tenets of Kappa Alpha Psi ® such as Kappa's Six-Point Plan, (2) significant professional achievements or milestones of individuals or chapters within three (3) months of the deadline. Articles must identify the who, what, when, where and why of the subject matter. Focus on the facts of the subject rather than overuse hyperbole to describe the success of the event or achievement. The Grand Polemarch reserves the right to establish a theme or change the theme of the issue, which may result in delay of publication of your submission. For example, a 2019 Senior Kappas Roll Call issue will be published. Once the Grand Polemarch determines the process and the infrastructure is in place to ensure no Brother is left out, that issue will be identified and notice will be provided by International Headquarters. Photos: Images that accompany articles or Gallery submissions that do not meet the minimum 300dpi resolution standard will not be published. Photo sizes of A4 or larger are preferable. Photos cannot be embedded in a word processing file. Photos must be submitted at .jpg, .eps or .png format. PDFs of photos are not acceptable. Failing to adhere to this minimum standard will likely result in rejection of the submission. All images must be accompanied by a word processing file with captions that accurately identify all subjects in the photo, with the correct spelling of names and positions (if applicable).
