La ciudad de Castro, capital de la isla de Chiloé, debido a su crecimiento urbano, hoy demanda viviendas, las cuales actualmente se desarrollan en la periferia. El barrio Pedro Montt, si bien se ha convertido en un sector principalmente turístico debe, al igual que la ciudad, densificarse y diversi- ficar sus usos y programas. En este contexto, la incipiente necesidad habitacional, así como la excelente conexión del terreno, definió la vocación habitacional de este proyecto. The city of Castro, the capital of the island of Chiloé, because of its urban growth today, needs housing, which is currently being developed around the outskirts of the city. The Pedro Montt neighborhood has mainly become a tourist area, but it needs to, like the city, densify and diversify its uses and programs. In this context, the emerging housing need, as well as the land's excellent connectivity, has defined this project's housing vocation.
