Otro de los intereses de este arquitecto tiene que ver con el teatro. Hasta el momento ha hecho tres escenografías, entre las que destaca la puesta en escena de la obra “Locutorio”, de Jorge Díaz, para la que se inspiró en una antigua fotografía La còlere divine de Gilbert Garcin. En esta obra los actores viven un clima de confusión y angustia, y los reflejos de la propuesta de Irarrázaval acentúan este estado de incomprensión entre los protagonistas. “La arquitectura, así como la escenografía en el teatro, tiene la facultad de transformar los actos cotidianos de la vida y subirles el volumen. Al proyectar un lugar pensando en cómo generar el mayor bienestar y potenciar su función, transformas una actividad ordinaria en la vida de quien lo habita, en una experiencia extraordinaria”, concluye Irarrázaval. / Another of this architect's interests has to do with theater.
