Este conjunto de ocho viviendas que se dispo- nen en torno a un espacio común, se ubica en un terreno irregular, que ocupaba previamente una gran casa, a pasos del centro financiero de Santiago. El espacio común se concibe como un pasaje peatonal de bordes continuos y con estacionamientos subterráneos. Las casas, por su parte, se organizan como una planta en “L” simétrica en torno a un patio cuadrado. El pasaje se dispone al centro del terreno, perpendicular y abierto visualmente a la calle, con tres casas orientadas hacia el norte y cinco, hacia el sur. La mitad norte del antejardín alber- ga el acceso peatonal, y la mitad sur, la rampa vehicular que baja a los estacionamientos. El subterráneo de cada casa contiene el acceso y los servicios en torno a un patio de luz. El nivel principal alberga los espacios co- munes y un patio de ocho por ocho metros, con uno de sus lados copando el 40 por ciento del adosamiento permitido al deslinde, y el otro, adosado a la siguiente casa. En el segundo piso se encuentran los dormitorios situados en una barra pareada hacia ambos lados que conforma dos largos pabellones rectangulares sobre el pasaje peatonal.
This complex of eight dwellings arranged around a common space is located on an ir- regular plot of land previously occupied by a large house, just steps from Santiago´s financial center. The common space was designed as a pedestrian walkway with continuous edges and underground parking. The houses, meanwhile, are organized as a symmetrical "L" plan around a square courtyard. The passageway is arranged in the center of the lot, perpendicular and visually open to the street, with three houses facing north and five facing south. The northern half of the front garden houses the pedestrian access and the southern half the vehicle ramp leading down to the parking spaces. The basement of each house contains ac- cess and services around a lighted courtyard. The main level houses the common spaces and an eight by an eight-meter courtyard, with one of its sides taking up 40 percent of the allowed adjoining boundary, and the other, attached to the house next door. On the second floor, the bedrooms are located in a paired wall on both sides that forms two long rectangular rooms over the pedestrian walkway.
