The park proposes an urban and environmental connec- tion between the ravine and the sea. Through a strategy of hillocks and topographies, areas of diverse uses will be implemented, while consolidating itself as a green infra- structure with diverse environmental roles that benefit the population´s health and urban ecology. The hills located inside the park, which were created from dirt extracted from real estate construction and remediated with native vegetation, will fulfill the ecological function of continuing phytoremediation over time and will be a valuable contribu- tion to biodiversity. The associations of species belonging to the Coastal Scrub and Xerophyte will populate these topog- raphies and will play a key role in environmental education and recreation for the neighborhood and its community.
Este parque propone conectar urbana y ambientalmente la quebrada con el mar. Mediante una estrategia de lomas y topografías se implementan áreas de diferentes usos, al tiempo que se consolida como una infraestructura verde con diversos roles ambientales que benefician la salud de la población y la ecología urbana. Las lomas ubicadas al interior del parque, formadas a partir de tierra extraída de la construcción inmobiliaria y remediada mediante la acción de vegetación nativa, cumplirán la función ecológica de con- tinuar una fitorremediación en el tiempo y de ser un valioso aporte para la biodiversidad. Las asociaciones de especies correspondientes al Matorral Costero y Xerófito poblarán estas topografías y ejercerán un rol clave en la educación ambiental y la recreación para el barrio y su comunidad.
