Con su proyecto de título de recuperación y rehabilitación de la Basílica del Salvador, el alumno de la Universidad de Chile, Santiago Rodríguez González, ganó la 3 era versión de premio Cicop Chile, concurso que, desde 2011, realiza el Centro Internacional para la Conservación del Patrimonio. Santiago Rodríguez González, a student at the Universidad de Chile, won the 3 rd edition of the Cicop Chile award, a competition organized by the International Center for Heritage Conservation since 2011 with his degree project for the recovery and rehabilitation of the Basílica del Salvador.
Para fomentar la realización de proyectos de título de ar- quitectura que intervengan áreas o inmuebles de valor pa- trimonial, el Centro Internacional para la Conservación del Patrimonio realiza el concurso Cicop Chile. Para esta, su 3era versión latinoamericana y 5 ta versión nacional, se presenta- ron 30 proyectos de titulo de países como Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil y Uruguay. El jurado compuesto por los arquitectos María de las Nieves Arias de la Federación Internacional de Centros CICOP; Yves Besançon, past president de la AOA; Enri- que Vial del Colegio de Arquitectos de Chile; y María Inés Arribas, Sebastián González, Nicolás Iza, y el presidente del jurado, Patricio Gross, todos representantes de CICOP Chile, dio como ganador a Santiago Rodríguez Gonzáles de la Universidad de Chile con su proyecto para la restaura- ción y rehabilitación del monumento histórico Basílica del Salvador: “La animita de nuestra memoria ciudadana. Una rehabilitación desde los cimientos”.
The International Center for Heritage Conservation organizes the Cicop Chile competition to encourage the development of architectural degree projects that intervene in areas or properties with heritage value. In this, its 3rd Latin American and 5 th national edition, 30 title projects were presented from countries such as Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Uruguay. The judges, composed of architects María de las Nieves Arias from the CICOP International Federation Centers; Yves Besançon, past president of the AOA; Enrique Vial from the Chilean Association of Architects; and María Inés Arribas, Sebastián González, Nicolás Iza, and the judges´ president, Patricio Gross, all representatives of CICOP Chile, awarded the prize to Santiago Rodríguez González from the Universidad de Chile with his project for the recovery and rehabilitation of the Basílica del Salvador Historical Monument.
