La primera idea, fundamento y respuesta fue trabajar con la desnudez. Con la justeza del uso del hormigón visto, que permitía por un lado resolver el tema sísmico y por otro acoger las actividades propias de una capilla. Un sencillo rectángulo con una envolvente de homogeneidad. Un cubo de luz con un interior enteramente blanco para sentir el recogimiento necesario. Un cielo de maderas de pino que permitiera que este se expandiera, y que lograra una configuración propia y una óptima acústica. En acuerdo con el párroco y la comunidad, a pesar de la hermeticidad necesaria para lograr el recogimiento la iglesia debía ser abierta al espacio público. Es por esto que el cubo se abre con sus mamparas transparentes, incorporando el atrio a la asamblea cuando hay actos con mucha participación. Esto permite la detención e incorpora a la gente a la manera de una vitrina que invita a la contemplación.
The first idea, foundation and response, was to work with bareness. With the simplicity of exposed concrete, which allowed on one hand to resolve the seismic issue, and on the other to accommodate the required acts of a chapel itself. A simple rectangle with a homogeneous envelope. A light cube with an entirely white interior to experience the necessary recollection and a pine wood ceiling that allows for expansion with its own configuration while providing optimal acoustics. In agreement with the parish priest and the community, despite the necessary enclosure to achieve recollection, the church had to be open to the public space. That is why the cube opens with its transparent screens, incorporating the atrium to the assembly space for activities with a large attendance. This allows detention and incorporates people in the manner of a showcase that invites contemplation.
