Por ello, como primera estrategia el edificio se inclina, a fin de dar mayor ancho hacia el norte y generar el lugar deseado, que sirve como patio de acceso en el primer piso a la vez de brindar calidad al ingreso, y un patio que reúne todo el programa común en el nivel -1; en definitiva, el patio de honor. El patio de honor recibe de manera natural el programa que se desarrolla en el interior, y al sumar los dos auditorios que se enfrentan crea un nuevo lugar de mayores dimensiones y que conecta interior-exterior-interior. Aprovechando el límite de las dos calles, el lugar creado (patio de acceso) funciona como conexión entre ellas, permitiendo el paso libre de los transeúntes ya sea para acceder al edificio o sencillamente atravesarlo a la manera de un pasaje peatonal, aportando parte de la propiedad como espacio público. Finalmente, la acción de inclinar el edificio no sólo posibilita la creación de este lugar de encuentro, sino que establece una imagen característica que podría interpretarse como la "pericia" del ingeniero frente a la fuerza de gravedad y a la condición sísmica propia de nuestro país.
