Durante la visita de la AOA a las oficinas de Snøhetta el grupo no sólo pudo apreciar y comentar obras, sino también observar in situ los pilares y procesos que definen su forma de trabajar: • Espacios de trabajo: abiertos para propiciar la interacción creativa y bajo una estructura horizontal, sin jerarquías; los mueble mutan indistintamente de mesón de trabajo a comedor, por ejemplo, donde todos se sientan juntos. • Metodología de diseño: explora sin prejuicios desde la artesanía tradicional a la tecnología digital de vanguardia. Llamativo es el taller de modelado, equipado con modernas herramientas para fabricación de prototipos en 3D y hasta un robot programable. • Colaboración: Snøhetta se nutre de múltiples colaboraciones para estimular el pensamiento, de modo de replantearse cada vez la misma situación; esto incluye talleres y charlas permanentes, e incorpora también a clientes, usuarios, contratistas, etc. • Sostenibilidad: “Fundamental para todo nuestro trabajo es el compromiso con la sostenibilidad social y ambiental. (…) Sabemos que con un diseño bien concebido podemos ayudar a que las cosas funcionen de manera más fluida, mejorar el bienestar de las personas y hacer que la vida sea más placentera”, se explica. Snøhetta colabora con Powerhouse, asociación multidisciplinaria con líderes de la industria de la construcción dedicados a crear edificios de energía positiva: el impactante Hotel Svart es un ejemplo reciente. • Transposición: proceso transdisciplinario en el que los profesionales intercambian roles para explorar diferentes perspectivas, sin soluciones preconcebidas y donde todos colaboran en un proceso integrado. During the AOA visit to the offices of Snøhetta, not only could they appreciate and comment on the works, but also recognize in situ the core ideas and processes that define their work style: • Work spaces: open spaces to encourage creative interaction, with a horizontal structure, without hierarchies; the furniture transform indistinctly from work table to dining table where everyone sits together. • Design methodology: to explore without prejudice from traditional handicrafts to avant-garde digital technology. An impressive modeling workshop is equipped with modern tools for manufacturing prototypes in 3D and even a programmable robot. • Collaboration: Snøhetta thrives on multiple collaborations to stimulate thought, in order to rethink the same situation every time; this includes workshops and permanent talks, and also involves clients, users, contractors, etc. • Sustainability: “The commitment to social and environmental sustainability is fundamental to all our work. (...) We know that with a well-conceived design we can help things work more smoothly, improve people's well-being and make life more pleasant”, they explain. Snøhetta collaborates with Powerhouse, a multidisciplinary association with leaders in the construction industry dedicated to creating positive energy buildings: the outstanding Svart Hotel is a recent example. • Transpositioning: trans-disciplinary process in which professionals exchange roles to explore different perspectives, free of prejudice, where everyone collaborates in an integrated process.
