Se propone rehabilitar un galpón de estructura de lamelas de madera de roble de mediados del siglo XX. El reciclaje de esta estructura –de gran valor plástico, histórico y arquitectónico– no será pasivo ni melancólico: se presenta como un manifiesto de arquitectura contemporánea que simboliza una nueva voluntad nacional cuidadosa de su acervo cultural. Mediante esta operación busca instalar sorpresivamente en el espacio algo ya hecho, un pasado reinterpretado en el ámbito internacional y de futuro que propone la feria.
The proposal rehabilitates a shed of oak wood lamella structure from the mid-20 th century. The recycling of this structure –of great plastic, historical and architectural value– will not be passive or melancholic: it is presented as a manifesto of contemporary architecture that represents a careful new national ideal regarding its cultural heritage. Through this operation, it seeks to unexpectedly install in that space something already done, a past reinterpreted for the international and future realm proposed by the fair.
