Condicionada por la existencia de una frondosa palmera en el centro del sitio, la casa se desarrolla a partir de dos volúmenes retranqueados de la calle que configuran una fachada hermética y definen una gran apertura al interior en torno a un patio central. Conditioned by the existence of a leafy palm tree in the center of the site, the house design is based on two volumes set back from the street, with hermetical façades and open to the interior around a central courtyard.

Esta vivienda resulta del encargo de un matrimonio con dos hijos con una propiedad en Pedro de Valdivia, sector residencial consolidado de la ciudad de Concepción. El cliente consideró la demolición de la casa existente, preservando en lo posible la vegetación y sobre todo una palmera de 7 m de alto situada en el centro del solar. Fue lo que posteriormente determinaría la forma de proyectar la vivienda.
This house is the result of a commission by a couple with two children, owners of a property in Pedro de Valdivia, a consolidated residential sector in the city of Concepción. The client considered the demolition of the existing house, preserving the vegetation as much as possible, and above all a 7 m high palm tree located in the center of the plot. It was what would later determine the design of the house.
