F irst, the bad news. “The current market for painting services has remained flat compared to 2022. Sales of paint products have also remained flat,” says Dean M. Nagatoshi, Painting and Decorating Contractors Association of Hawaii executive direc- tor, adding his assessment also includes input by two local painting contractors and two local paint suppliers. But going forward, Nagatoshi sees a few encouraging trends.
