El gesto gráfico que da origen a la casa puede describirse como la línea recta hacia este hito natural que da forma y sentido al partido general, base para el desarrollo del programa y estructura formal del proyecto. Dobles alturas y vistas dirigidas al paisaje y su entorno crean el ritmo de la propuesta arquitectónica, que a través de patios interiores en distintos lugares mantienen la relación con el exterior. Con un programa de cinco habitaciones, la casa propone un lugar de reunión de generosos espacios. La configuración espacial reconoce las condiciones predominantes del lugar. El invierno con mañanas nubosas se resuelve con dos grandes ventanales, ejes del espacio público de la casa; en verano, las celosías verticales tamizan los rayos del sol. El área privada se distancia de la pública y se articula con un jardín central. Sobre este segundo eje se plantea un entretecho habitable que goza de la crujía completa de la casa, dotando a este espacio de una condición bastante particular. Con orientación norte-sur y una ventana triangular con vista al valle sur de Catapilco, este espacio secreto y de exclusivo acceso de los dormitorios 2 y 3 brinda tranquilidad e intimidad. The graphic gesture that gives rise to the house can be described as the straight line towards this natural landmark, giving shape and meaning to the general concept and a basis for the development of the program and formal structure of the project. Double heights and views directed to the landscape and its surroundings create the rhythm of the architectural proposal, which through interior patios in different places maintain the relationship with the exterior. With a five-room program, the house proposes a meeting place with generous spaces. The spatial configuration recognizes the prevailing conditions of the place. Two large windows –axes of the public space of the house– respond to winter, with its cloudy mornings. In summer, the vertical blinds filter the sun’s rays. The separate private area is articulated with a central garden. A habitable attic on this second axis occupies the entire width of the house, providing this space with a very special condition. With north- south orientation and a triangular window overlooking the southern valley of Catapilco, this secret space with exclusive access to bedrooms 2 and 3 provides tranquility and privacy.
