La casa fue pensada desde el vacío interior de los galpones, como un loft, donde conviviera la vida privada con la vida del trabajo. Sin pasillos, todo se organiza a través de un espacio común donde conviven acceso, escalera, un puente, cocina, estar comedor y el altillo del taller. La estructura general y división especial se organizan en base a una grilla de 3,6 x 3,6 m y la medida de la tala de 1x8”, que da las texturas de terminación. The house was conceived from the interior emptiness of the sheds, like a loft, where private life coexisted with work life. Without corridors, everything is organized in a common space where the entrance, staircase, a bridge, kitchen, dining room and the attic workshop coexist. The general structure and divisions are organized based on a grid of 3.6 x 3.6 m and the 1”x 8” dimension of the boards, which provides the finishing textures.
Un gran estar abarca la crujía y altura total del volumen. Este espacio de 6x9x5m de alto se ordena por sus fachadas interiores: dos fachadas laterales vidriadas hacia el valle de Cochamó y el río por el oriente y el bosque de arrayanes por el poniente. Las fachadas longitudinales se proponen como soportes utilitarios. La cara norte se ordena por una ventana central que enmarca el río Cochamó y con un asiento en obra distancia el mueble de la cocina de la chimenea que organiza el living. El muro interior es un gran mueble. A great lounge occupies the whole width and height of the volume. This space of 6 x 9 x 5m high is organized by its interior façades: two glazed lateral façades towards the Cochamó valley and the river to the east and the arrayanes (Chilean myrtle) forest on the west. The longitudinal facades are designed as utilitarian supports. The north face is defined by a central window that frames the view of the Cochamó river and with a built in seat separates the kitchen furniture from the fireplace that organizes the living room. The inner wall is a large piece of furniture.

PENDIENTE TECHO
Dos volúmenes alargados se disponen contra la cota para aprovechar el ancho del terreno que se relaciona al río. En el primer piso de la casa los espacios públicos se organizan para compartir las vistas y el asoleamiento norte; en el segundo, un pasillo ordena los dormitorios hacia el norte y visibiliza el volumen completo. La cabaña es un galpón a dos aguas de 6x12m dividido en dos por el acceso y el baño. Hacia “atrás” un dormidero y hacia adelante un loft de 6x6x6m con altillo. Two elongated volumes are arranged perpendicular to the slope to take advantage of the width of the site in relationship with the river. On the first floor of the house the public spaces are organized to share the views and the northern sun; on the second, a corridor organizes the bedrooms to the north and reveals the full volume. The cottage is a gabled house of 6 x 12 m divided into two by the entrance and the bathroom. Towards the back a dorm and to the front a 6 x 6 x 6 m loft with mezzanine.
