El edificio se proyecta con una envolvente de alto desempeño a fin de minimizar las pérdidas de energía desde el interior y evitar ganancias energéticas innecesarias desde el exterior, manteniendo un ambiente estable para disminuir al máximo los aportes de calor o frío y lograr la temperatura de confort, generando ahorro en recursos operativos. El edificio también cuenta con un diseño pasivo de geotermia que aprovecha la energía de la tierra almacenada en forma de calor debajo de la superficie, a través de una red de serpentines en la losa de fundación del segundo subterráneo. La energía se emplea a través de una bomba calor agua –agua para el sistema de calefacción y enfriamiento, el cual se desarrolló en base a un sistema radiativo de cielos y muros. Este sistema reduce hasta en un 50% el consumo energético del edificio. Todas las ventanas son practicables, favoreciendo la ventilación natural. El edificio contempla luminarias de bajo consumo, sensores volumétricos de apagado automático y control horario KNX de encendido y apagado interior y exterior.
The building is designed with a high- performance envelope to minimize energy losses from the interior and avoid unnecessary energy gains from the exterior, maintaining a stable environment to minimize the contributions of heat or cold and achieve comfort temperature, generating savings in operational resources. The building also has a passive geothermal design that harnesses the energy of the earth stored in the form of heat below the surface, through a network of coils in the foundation slab of the second basement. The energy is used through a water-water heat pump for the heating and cooling system, which was developed based on a radiating system on ceilings and walls. This system reduces the energy consumption of the building by up to 50%. All windows are operable, favoring natural ventilation. The building includes low consumption light fixtures, volumetric sensors for automatic shutdown and KNX time control for interior and exterior operation.
