Este Kulturmuseet o casa de la cultura situado en Tullinge -una de las ciudades satélite de los alrededores de Estocolmo- es un contenedor destinado a reactivar la vida social de un entorno urbano muy fragmentado, consecuencia de la expansión llevada a cabo en la región durante los años 60 y 70 y que derivó en áreas de poca centralidad. Por lo tanto, el nuevo edificio es una buena oportunidad para actuar sobre esta falta de estructura. El programa de usos se compacta al máximo y se organiza por niveles, lo que permite liberar espacio público y conseguir la identidad y escala necesarias para erigirse como elemento de referencia. This Kulturmuseet or house of culture located in Tullinge - one of the satellite cities surrounding Stockholm - is a container destined to reactivate the social life of a very fragmented urban environment, a consequence of the expansion carried out in the area during the 60s and 70s which developed without a center. Therefore, the new building is a good opportunity to act on this lack of structure. The functional program is compressed to the maximum and organized by levels, which allows to open public space and to obtain the necessary presence and scale to establish itself as a reference element.
